Awuor Melody – Night Ogoma

I currently attend Dudi Girls High School, having joined it in Form 1, in January 2020. It is a leading secondary school in Homabay County. I went to Dudi, as a school of my choice, after scoring top grades in the 2019 National Examinations at Sare Silver Springs School. I consider myself luckily to have been admitted at Dudi which is very competitive. My primary school, Sare Silver Springs, is a wonderful school with wonderful teachers and management. Being a community school, it is very different from all the other schools in Omboga Zone. The learning atmosphere is very friendly, with very dedicated teachers. The discipline is high, and church going was a must for learners. I am determined to work hard enough at Dudi to be able to go to university, so I can end up being able to find a good job that will enable me to assist my parents live a better life in the future. I want to be a Journalist, and when I finally get there, I will find time and the means to remember my primary School, Sare Silver Springs, with whatever gift God will give me. For now, I just wish to say” Bravo” to the school, and the Teachers. Long live Sare Silver Springs in Kanyaluo, Homabay County!

Joining Sare Silver Springs School in 2017 was a true God-given opportunity for me that exposed me to serious learning. I enjoyed my time there fully, and eventually managed to score the good grades that propelled me to join Form 1 at Homabay High School in January 2020. Homabay High is an Extra County School that admits only top candidates from primary schools. I consider myself lucky to have been selected to join this High School. Therefore, I wish to thank all my teachers, headed by our great Mathematics Teacher Mr. Nathaniel Agan, in partnership with our awesome English Teacher Mr. Richard Kogogo. May God bless them all.

Judith Akoth Lumumba I come from a family where no one, but my grandmother cared about education. I am an orphan, but I picked up the idea of going to school in church. I got to know about Sare Silver Springs Schools through my church youth group and decided, on my own, to go to the school to get admission.  I just presented myself without fees and uniform and informed them that I wanted to learn. I don't even know how I got admitted, but some of the teachers bought my first set of uniform, and eventually the school principal, and the Administrator secured a sponsorship for my education, that enabled me to continue learning at the school . I took my studies very seriously and eventually found myself performing well in class.

Finally, I secured a good grade that saw me get admitted into Kadika Girls which is a Center of Excellence in Migori County. I consider Sare Silver Springs School my real eye-opener, and I shall always remember this School, and the wonderful teachers who brought me up to where I am today. May God bless them all and may Sare Silver Springs continue to grow and help others like me achieve our dreams.

I joined Sare Silver Springs School in the year 2016 from one of the a public school within Omboga zone and found myself in a completely different learning environment.

The teachers were very friendly and caring. I soon found myself being noticed and felt very comfortable in class. In the course of time, I learnt that it was not a private school like the others I had heard of before. Apart from the teachers, I learned of the three other persons who seemed to be actively supporting the learning at the School. These are Madam Annette from Germany, Mr. Harrison Ochola who is commonly referred to as Mr. Chairman, and Mr. Abel Odira. To this trio, I owe much gratitude for their support to all of us. They kept echoing to us, in class 8, the need to maintain discipline, and hard work to score good grades. I took their constant advice seriously, and I believe that is why I was able to score good grades that qualified me to join Oriwo Boys High School, one of the elite high schools in the county

I am grateful to God ,and to my teachers at Sare Silver Springs for preparing me, and others, well enough to follow the foot-steps of the many professionals in the region who I now understand went to universities through Oriwo Boys High School.

I salute my teachers at Sare Silver Springs School from where I graduated in 2018 upon completing my standard 8.  I now attend Agoro Sare High School. This is an Extra-County High School in Homabay County and is ranked as one of the elite high schools in the county. My entry into this school was made possible by the quality of primary school education that I obtained from Sare Silver Springs School. My primary school was a no-nonsense learning centre (in a good way) that was anchored on the motto of “Being the Best”. I owe my success to it, and hope to be able to give back in one way or another other, after completing my formal education, and subsequent training.
