Wape Nafasi Partnership

Sare Silver Springs School, would not be what it is today if it were not for the robust relationship that we have with Wape Nafasi  eV. Germany.  Wape Nafasi means to "provide a path" or "make way" or "give them a chance". Any which way we interpret this description, it still intersects at "ensuring that the next generation gets the opportunity to better themselves through the intentional provision of resources within their community". Ms. Annette,on a visit to Kenya from Germany, met Mr. Harrison Ochola in 2014, where they along with others in the community determined that there was a need for a community school in the region.  Following a deep community assessment, Ms. Annette obtained funding to purchase 5 acres of land on that the school was built. Over the years, Wape Nafasi Germany has continued to support the school in its mission. The continued financial, academic, and mentoring support has been an integral part of the growth and success of Sare Silver Springs School.  At this time, the school maintains an active communication with its German counterpart, there are two board seats that are occupied by the Wape Nafasi eV., and  this is coupled with active fundraising for the administrative work at the school, as well as scholarships for ten students per year.

Coatesville First SDA Church, Coatesville, Pennsylvania USA

We want to thank the Coatesville First SDA Church for being such a great supporter of our feeding program. Through this program we are able to address the health of our whole school community by providing wholesome and balanced meals to our students.  We know that a well fed and healthy student is better positioned to succeed academically, thus we have made it our mission to support our students growth spiritually, mentally, physically, and academically.  Thank you for the continued sacrifices that you make each month to support this next generation of leaders.  God bless you.

Currently, we need to upgrade various aspects of the school to meet the growing demand for a well-rounded education in our region.  Our school has grown fast, and we have not been able to keep up with the infrastrucure and personnel needs required to sustain the affordable education we currently deliver.

At this time, we urgently need to raise 5 million shillings to fill the following gaps at the school.

1. Purchase 30 laptops so that students can be introduced to computer technical education. At this time, majority of the students have never seen or used a computer.  In order to prepare them for future jobs and support 21st Century learning we are in dire need for a computer lab.

2. Funds to install a solar energy system to drive various school functions.

3. Build and furnish a girls dormitory so that we can increase security for girls at the school.

4. Tuition scholarships for orphaned and vulnerable students who need to maintain their enrollment at the school in order to alleviate the vicious poverty cycle that has gripped many families in the region.  Currently, we need Kshs 25,000 per student per year. Please sponsor a student and propel them towards their dreams.
